The three we do most
One room out of a shared house
Common around Hayes Town and near the station. Everyone else stays put, one person leaves, and the awkwardness is the shared hallway rather than the volume. A van and the right number of people, in and out without turning the house upside down.
A studio or part-furnished flat
The whole contents, but not much of it. This is where a man and van genuinely beats a full removal on cost — provided the kitchen is not full, which is the thing that most often turns a van job into a three-trip afternoon.
One heavy or awkward thing
A sofa, a wardrobe, an upright piano, a chest freezer from the garage. Two people and the right equipment, wrapped and strapped the same way we would on a full move. Most of these come from someone who tried it themselves first.
And four where it is the wrong answer
Booking the wrong size is the commonest way a cheap move turns into an expensive one.
- A two-bed flat with a full kitchen is not a van job. It looks like one and becomes three trips, which costs more than the right vehicle would have.
- Anything needing a booked lift and a loading window wants a proper crew and proper paperwork — the building will expect both.
- If fragile things need packing as well as carrying, that is a packing job with a van attached, and it should be quoted as one.
- A long run up the M4 in a single van with one driver is a false economy against a properly loaded vehicle.
Describe the job and if it is really a flat removal or a house move, we will say so before quoting rather than finding out on the doorstep.

How is it priced?
By the job, from what you tell us and what we see — not by a clock you have to watch while somebody carries boxes slowly. If we have misjudged the volume we will say so before loading rather than after.
Is the handling the same as on a full move?
Yes. Blankets in the room, corner protection, floors covered. A smaller job is not a licence to be rough with it, and this is the service where most firms quietly drop the standard.
One person or two?
Depends on the load, the floor and whether there is a lift. Stairs and heavy items want two. We tell you which the job needs rather than sending one and hoping.
Can you help with packing?
We will bring materials and give you a hand with the awkward things. A genuine full pack is a different service and gets quoted as one.
Do you cover Yeading and Harlington too?
All of UB3 and UB4. Parking is the practical constraint rather than distance — a controlled road still needs arranging whatever size the vehicle is.
Will you take away what I am not keeping?
No. Clearance and waste carriage need a different licence and it is not a trade we are in.
