Why we measure first
An instant online figure is produced from two postcodes and a bedroom count. It cannot know about the loft, the garage, the turn at the half-landing, or that the road is controlled parking. So it gets revised — usually on the morning, usually upward, usually when you have no practical alternative.
Surveying first is slower and it costs us something. It is also the only way a quote means anything, which is why there is no price calculator on this site.
Why we stay in UB3 and UB4
Plenty of removals sites list forty districts and know none of them. We cover Hayes and the roads that border it, and when a move belongs to somebody else's patch we say so — our coverage page names the network sites built for the neighbouring areas and for London as a whole.
That is not modesty. Knowing which streets off the Uxbridge Road will not take a Luton, and which canal-side blocks run a lift booking system, is knowledge you only get from working one patch properly.
One crew, both ends
The people who survey your house are the people who load it and the people who unload it. No chain of subcontractors and no handover at a depot. On a local move that matters less; on a run to Devon or to the Algarve it matters more than anything else on this page, because a handover is where things go missing and where nobody can say who broke what.
The limits
We do not carry out house clearance or take rubbish away — different trade, different licence. We do not disconnect gas, plumbed or hard-wired appliances; that needs a qualified engineer and we will plan the day around one. We move upright pianos but send grands to a specialist. Cars go on transporters. A firm that says yes to all of that is telling you something.

Four things we are not claiming
Most removals sites carry a strip of trust signals near the top. Ours does not, and this is the section explaining why rather than a gap we hoped nobody would notice.
No star rating
We have not collected reviews yet, so there is no score to put here. When there are real ones they will appear with real names against them, and you will be able to tell they are real.
No trade-body badges
Association marks are easy to place on a page and hard for a customer to verify. We are not displaying any we have not earned.
No years-in-business count
A number proves nothing about whether your wardrobe arrives intact. Judge us on the survey and the written quote — you see both before committing to anything.
No borrowed logos
The strip of company marks that appears under so many hero sections is, in most cases, decoration. Ours would be too, so there is not one.
Hayes Removals is a new name. The honest way to earn a reputation is to do the work and let it accumulate, not to arrive with a page of ornaments.
